Volunteer Needs at Baxter

We couldn’t serve without our volunteer doctors and dentists, and we’d love to talk to you about how to serve here at Baxter. Contact Chawntele Flowers to learn more about our needs and scheduling time in our Health Center

Donation drives greatly assist us in keeping our shelves stocked! We always appreciate having local businesses and organizations host donation drives for food, clothing, diapers or personal hygiene products.

If you are interested in hosting a donation drive for Baxter please download our Hygiene Drive Editable Flyer and notify Lindsay Vacanti of the dates you would like to collect donations and the date you would like to drop off donations.

Celebration Kits: Put together a celebration kit with all the fixings a family needs to celebrate special moments like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. By volunteering to purchase, assemble and donate celebration kits, you provide our neighbors with the opportunity to celebrate special moments without compromising the availability of healthier options when they visit our pantry. In order to best serve our neighbors, we ask that you provide completed kits that are ready to be distributed using our Special Occasion Shopping List

Every November & December, we supply over 600 holiday baskets to families for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Volunteers play a huge role in making this program a success!

We invite YOU to join us in spreading warmth and nourishment to our community during the holiday season by volunteering to help with our annual Holiday Basket Programs. Whether you come alone, bring your family, or a group from your business, club or organization, we’ve got plenty of dates for both Thanksgiving and Christmas with a range of volunteer roles that suit all ages and abilities!

Community Members of all ages, businesses and organizations are all welcome to volunteer with us for these events!

Keeping up a 100+ year old building takes a lot of work and hands – are yours ready to get dirty? Contact Randy Posthuma to see what fun projects we have going inside and outside our building.

Throughout the year we have mailings that need extra hands to accomplish. These projects can be done off site or in our space. Would you like to join our Mailing Team? Contact Danielle for more information.

Student service learning opportunities are available for college and higher education students who are interested in getting involved in our community by volunteering with our Community Engagement team.
