Baxter Community Greenhouse

In November of 2011 the ribbon was cut on the Baxter Community Center Greenhouse, and it has organically (pun intended) become a part of so many aspects of our work.  Be it the Garden to Early Childhood and Beyond programming, our Annual Plant Sale, or the Fresh Produce that the Greenhouse provides for our Marketplace….the Baxter Greenhouse has found its way into the fabric of everything we do here at Baxter.

Annual Plant Sale 2024

Friday, May 17th 1PM-5PM
AND Saturday, May 18th 10AM-3PM

Every year we plant roughly 4,000 seedlings of edible plants including fruits, vegetables, herbs, and a few flowers in our greenhouse to sell to neighbors at our Annual Plant Sale for just $1 each!

Though our plant sale is open to everyone, we do our best to prioritize our neighbors in the Baxter neighborhood. Quantity limits on sales may be put in place based on availability.

Volunteers will be assisting with setting up and arranging plants, line control and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic, assisting with sales transactions and handling cash and helping with clean-up and tear-down after the event.
