For The Health of It is Baxter Community Center’s 16-week program that invites those who have diabetes or are at risk for diabetes and an additional family member or supporter to come and learn practical and sustainable lifestyle changes through a fun mix of educational sessions, fitness and cooking classes, motivational challenges, group support and more!
Our next cohort will be August 20th-December 3rd, 2024.

Gardening workshops and series participants work with local farmers and urban growers to learn everything you need to know to have a successful garden this year from start to finish! Whether you’ve been gardening for years in your back yard garden, want to better utilize your raised bed, or just want to start out with a couple plants in a pot on your balcony, we’ve got a workshop for you! Gardening workshops will flow into Canning and Preservation classes throughout the summer and fall.

Holiday Basket Programs
Every year, we provide holiday baskets filled with everything families need to prepare a festive meal at home. Families can choose a basket for Thanksgiving or Christmas (or whichever holiday they choose to celebrate).
