Gardening Basics: Getting Started & Soil Prep
We’re bringing gardening programs back to Baxter this spring, and we’re starting with our Gardening Basics Series! Join us as we work with local farmers and urban growers to learn everything you need to know to have a successful garden this year! Whether you’ve been gardening for years in your back yard garden, want to better utilize your raised bed, or just want to start out with a couple plants in a pot on your balcony, this series is for you! Those who attend at least 4 of the 5 workshops in this series will be eligible to receive 2 trays of free plants of their choice from our annual plant sale!
During week 1 we’ll walk you through the steps to make sure your space is healthy, safe and ready to start your garden as we cover the different types of gardening, soil preparation and safety!
